The resort town of Ponte Vedra Beach is perched on the Atlantic coastline about 30 minutes north of St. Augustine and 30 minutes south of Jacksonville. In the 1930's, after its name was changed from Mineral City, Ponte Vedra Beach became a hideaway for America's rich and fabulous crowd. No wonder we're drawn here

Ponte Vedra Beach is the home of the ATP Tour, the PGA TOUR, and THE PLAYERS Championship. World-renowned course designers have made their mark here, with Sawgrass Country Club and The Players Club at Sawgrass.

Most of the beaches have limited public access, with the exception of Mickler's Landing and Guana River State Park. Tennis and surfing are other popular activities in the area.

Ponte Vedra Beach was one of the finalists for CNN and Money magazine's 2005 list of the best places to live.

Minutes to the south, you can explore the pre-colonial nature of Ponte Vedra at the 55,000-acre Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve. The Reserve's 21,000 sq. ft. Environmental Education Center overlooks undeveloped salt marsh, wetlands, lagoons and oyster bars. Enjoy the unspoiled view of Florida's natural coastline.
